These terms cover your use of markjborg.com. I am Mark Julian Borg, in Malta. The privacy policy says what the site does with information.
the site
This is my portfolio, shown as a desktop called mjb.os. Some copy, prices, and pictures are still placeholders on purpose. They are not offers and not a quote.
While the coming-soon lock is switched on, it is not a real login. Anything typed there gets the same refusal. It is not checked against a password. This page and the privacy policy stay available while that lock is on.
content and ownership
The design of this site, the writing, the illustrations, the comics, my character IP (including Boop and Cindi), the music files, and the photographs are my work, unless a page credits someone else.
Client projects are shown with permission. Showing them here does not give you a licence to reuse that work, and it does not move the client’s rights to you or to me beyond what that client and I already agreed.
Names and logos of other people and companies stay with their owners. That includes names you will see on the site, such as BlackCat, ECI, Playdate, BTC21, BitcoinHUD, Mempool.Space, and the social networks. Planet Boop is my own project. The Playdate Games window is an unofficial review site for the Playdate handheld. Playdate itself is not mine.
what you can do
You can browse the site, link to it, and share those links. Do not copy the work and present it as yours, and do not use it commercially, unless I agree. The résumé PDF is there so you can read my experience. It is not a template to republish.
no warranty
The site is a portfolio. I do not promise that it is complete, that a placeholder will be filled, that it will always be available, or that it will be free of mistakes. You use it as it is.
liability
Maltese law still holds me to anything it does not allow me to set aside. Beyond that, I am not liable for loss or damage from using this site, from relying on a placeholder, from a link, or from a site that opens inside a window.
links and embedded sites
Some windows load another site inside the page:
eci.edu.mt is linked, not embedded, because that site refused to be framed. The résumé also links to bitcoinhud.com. The page links to my profiles on X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
When you follow a link, or when another site loads in a window, that site’s own terms apply. I am not making a promise here about what those sites do.
law
These terms are governed by the law of Malta. The courts of Malta decide disputes about them.
changes
If I change these terms, I will change the date at the top. The version on this page is the one that applies.
